  • SIZES - 3 inches high and 3 ¼ inches across including the handle
  • On researching Uncle Toby I came across a wealth of information regarding the Newcastle Weekly Chronicle, Uncle Toby and the Dicky Bird Society
    On the 7th Oct. 1876 The Newcastle Weekly Chronicle opened it's columns to Uncle Toby - the intention was to instill in young children a duty of kindness to all living things. The DBS - Dicky Bird Society was born from this -

    was given away in the paper and demand far outweighed supply
