Small Preserve Jar With Plated Lid - Barrel

  • ITEM - Small Jam or Preserve Jar with Silver plated Rim, Handles and Cover
  • DATE - c1890 / 1900
  • PATTERN - Floral on a textured base
  • MAKER / ORIGIN - Unknown - numbered 583 on the base
  • SIZES - 4 ¼ inches to the rim, 4 ¾ inches to the top of the handles, 5
    ½ inches to the finial on the cover and about 5 inches across handle to handle
  • Pretty piece with very decorative handles and good colours
  • The small preserve jars or barrels tend to be hard items to find - great for use or
    display
    Condition of Item
  • The Silver plating has of course worn with polishing over the years and there is a small indent on the rim of the cover - but nothing to detract from the overall look of the piece
  • No damage and no restoration to the body of the piece
