Flow Blue Syrup Pitcher - Victorian Repair

  • ITEM - Flow Blue Syrup Pitcher
  • DATE - late 1860
  • PATTERN - Unknown -Floral Marked on the base with what maybe a pattern number 9674
  • MAKER / ORIGIN - Style / Design is very similar to items made by the Swansea factory - the only marking is the pattern number and impressed numbers 2 4 plus 2 small circular impressed marks so it is hard to tell for sure which factory made it
  • SIZES - :About 8 inches to the lip and 6 inches across from handle to lip
  • I love the fact that this was such a treasured piece that when the handle broke it was taken to be repaired and to fix it they attached a metal collar and handle - to fix the base of the handle they drilled a small hole and made a fixing inside the jug - and that has worked for many years - the handle does not look out of place and it is a very pretty flow blue jug - like the owner who had the repair done I also think it was worth the repair to save the jug
